New Product Features

ECO-Ring (Patent Pending) – One of our best kept secrets in our product offering is the patent pending Eco-Ring technology available on all TC-X203- (3/4” Metallic), TC-X252- (1” Non-Metallic) and TC-X253- (1” Metallic) Series Iwaki AIR AODD Pumps.  These models equipped, as standard, can decrease air consumption by up to 25% (average is 16%) compared to previous equivalent models with NO reduction in flow rates.  This is accomplished with the addition of a plastic ring incorporated on the diaphragm-facing side of the center section thus allowing for less air volume required in that space.  This is also a standard feature for most TTD-Series pumps.

New Mounting Feet Material – Now available on all models of AODD Pumps.  Now comes standard with Santoprene rubber mounting feet material for improved chemical compatibility over previous models with Buna-N rubber feet.  These new rubber feet are fully interchangeable with all previous pump models.  Material shapes, sizes and color are the same except the 1/4” (030 and 050) have a small design change.

DID YOU KNOW?
…AODD pumps are designed to run submerged in the fluid being pumped as long as the materials of construction are chemically compatible with the fluid in the drum or pit. However, it is required that the exhaust be piped so it is above the fluid level and the exhaust is not obstructed.

VERTICAL MARKET SPOTLIGHT

Paints and coatings are a great vertical market for AODD pumps and many paint and coatings facilities have tens if not hundreds of AODD type pumps as their primary technology for transfer. Large paint companies such as PPG, Sherwin Williams, Valspar, AkzoNobel, Benjamin Moore, Glidden, Kelly Moore, BASF and Behr are familiar names and have many manufacturing facilities throughout the world. A quick Internet search should identify local paint manufacturers in your local trading area. Paints for interior walls and ceilings or outdoor residential structures (also called architectural paints) are only one type of paints being manufactured – these companies and others, make lots of specialty paints for applications such as construction, line-striping, fluorescent and highways/airports to name a few.

2019 Distributor Training

Featuring all the tools you would need to identify applications, present Iwaki Air products and beat the competition. Training will feature Iwaki Air AODD pumps and modules for outside sales people. Held in Holliston, Massachusetts. Please email John Shea for more information or to register.

AODD FEATURE SPOTLIGHT

Coincidently, one of the main reasons that paints and coatings manufacturers use AODD pumps is because they are non-shearing. In these applications, maintaining the product integrity is very important. It can affect texture and product appearance. Because AODD pumps do not shear the paint ingredients, the paint is able to be applied evenly and blend together when spread on a surface. AODD pumps are recognized as low shear as they essentially just “push” fluid through the pump wet-end chambers causing virtually no damage to the paint.
